Usually ceramic tile is stamped, glazed , kilned.  The differnce with Stone Evolution is that the tile is stamped, glazed and then stamped again before being kilned.

While this tile may resemble natural stone in appearance, Stone Evolution is superior in many different ways. Compared to natural stones, it is much less porous, ranks higher on the MOHS scale and  has greater resistance to staining and freezing.
